Musharraf's lecture and Pakistan forieng policy

In his recent lectures former president of Pakistan and Army Chief Gen(r) Pervez Musharraf has said a lot about Pakistan and its safety. If rationale prevails and present Pakistan political players cease to be bias the contents of the lectures of Musharraf have the substance to revisit our foreign policy. A recent interview with NPR is worth listening, script to read is also available.

Speaking at Houston, Texas He has said that ' Pakistan faces several challenges to its democracy and prosperity but it remains a key friend and strategic partner of the United States''. Pervez Musharraf, the former president of Pakistan, will discuss the reforms needed for stability at a World Affairs Council of Houston luncheon on Saturday, October 10.

How they say that 'sharam tum ko magar nehee aatee'. So called Punjabi leaders, rather Mohni Road leadership, are so persistent lying that they have had no deal with President Musharaf and army shouldn't play any role in the politics but that was and is lie now recently their cronies are crying their head off that no meeting between Shahbaz and Kiani ever has taken place.
But authentic and confirmed reports are '' that Shahbaz had gone to Rawalpindi on his own to seek Army chief’s help for his brother Nawaz Sharif who is unable to contest the coming by-elections as Sharif brothers had an agreement with Gen Pervez Musharraf to stay away from politics till 2010'' The Judiciary is helping the crooks but it seems that snare is being woven for these corrupt and coward family.

Nawaz Sharif is disqualified and so is Shahbaz Shabaz Sharif but later has took some advantage of his money but for how long? Now he is going also if 'judiciary' is not coming to his rescue!

Augustana College's Boe Forum

'Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf spoke in Sioux Falls on Friday evening, the latest in a distinguished list of speakers at Augustana College's Boe Forum on Public Affairs'. This is an excerpt from a news article on the Internet which indicates that President Musharraf is widely respected and people out side Pakistan are willing to benefit from his experience. Another quote read below from the same article which again indicates that renowned media think highly of Musharraf too.

''Time magazine once described Musharraf's position as "the most dangerous job in the world." He positioned Pakistan as a critical ally to the United States in the Middle East, positioned right in the heart of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, against al-Qaeda and the Taliban. He survived two assassination attempts, rooted out militants in his own government and hunted for Osama bin Laden, believed to be hiding in the lawless border region between Pakistan and Afghanistan. At the same time, he worked to build the democracy in his country, empowered citizens to participate in local governments, opened up the media and liberated women to participate in all levels of government''. I quote another piece from his interview here where he has spoken regarding the Muslims outstanding issues ; ''He said the US should help settle long-standing disputes such as Palestine and Kashmir to build up support among Muslim countries''. Now read this a Pakistani regional paper and an Indian Internet news agency both have deleted this paragraph from the news. The Indian papers deleting any thing goes in favour of 'Kashmir' is understandable but why Pakistani Papers? Is it because it is said by Musharraf? We are proud of him he is speaking for the Muslim people ,countries and Kashmiri people yet any Pakistani leader neither has the opportunity nor has the guts to speak. The matter of fact is that Pakistan government in past and may be now too hire lobby firms and pay them in millions.

Nawaz Deals

Real face of Sharif and his party was being covered due to the noise of some politicians vested interests. His constantly lying mislead the people of Pakistan for some period of time and his party has reaped some benefits of doubt. But now its coming clear day by day that he has struck his deal with the government of the day to save his neck. Of course he has requested the King in 2000 to intervene and assured the deal brokers that he will abide by the pact but he was not trustworthy, time has proved. The King, now has realised and bluntly warned Sharif to stick to this pact until 2010 as they have tolerated Shahbaz elections but further breach of the contract will harm mutual 'relations' and also will not be digested easily. It can be checked by A, B, C and d and internationally too it was believed but yet again N is steadfast to refute the facts as always their leadership is used to.

The N is a group of liars ostensibly they claim that they make no deal with military rulers but it is another big lie like the one they always said about the deal with the Pakistan government brokered by the King. Now Shabaz is secretly meeting the General Kianai Why? and again his part denying the fact.

Since former President has vowed that he will return and defend himself many people are having sleepless nights. However I am of the opinion that he must not return yet until he has his own platform and his mass support is motivated and mobilised. The present CJ in Pakistan is hell bent against him along with N cronies. There is no rule of law at all and he will be dragged in to some sort of endless situation by these wolves and unprincipled so-called politicians , that could also harm Pakistan interests.
